Jeff Frahm

The owner and lead mechanic was formally a Florida State certified (Rank 2 -Master) vocational marine technology instructor for Brevard County Schools in Melbourne, FL. This same program introduced him to the marine industry in 1976. During his 31 years in education Jeff had dozens of his students win state and national medals at the SkillsUSA VICA competitions. Many of his former students are now working in related fields.

Jeff started working summers in the Lakes Region back in 2000 at Thurston's Marina and has been working in the industry for over 40 years. Moving in 2016 to from Florida to Moultonborough to start a new chapter in our lives. Definitely, a smart move as we enjoy everything about the area: the beauty of New England, the people, and especially the change of seasons!

In his spare time he enjoys several types of sports, including competitive shooting, snowmobiling, and of course being out on the water, skiing and kayaking!

Eau Gallie High graduate wins National Skills USA gold medal... Brevard Business News Pg 3
"Justin Lawson, a recent graduate of Eau Gallie High School, took first place in the Marine Service Technology division at the annual National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City, Mo.
Competing against the best students in the country, Lawson credits the valuable education he received at Eau Gallie High. He recognized the efforts of several teachers including Jeffrey Frahm, his marine–service technology instructor. “Mr. Frahm’s success in the marine industry and his motivation” were particularly influential. Last year, Eau Gallie High graduate Doug Sullivan, also one of Frahm’s students, won first place at the conference. “Underclassmen look up to Justin just as they did Doug the year before,” says Frahm. “It shows students who really enjoy the marine–service industry and want to learn the trade that they just need to apply themselves at Eau Gallie High. It’s exciting to watch so many of our students enjoy this class.” Lawson now plans to take advantage of his award valued at more than $30,000, which includes a full scholarship to a 60–week marine–certification program at Marine Mechanics Institute in Orlando, a Digital Diagnostic scan tool from Mercury Marine, a roll cabinet with a set of basic tools from Snap–On Tools, and software for fuel–injection systems from Volvo Penta.
Skills USA is a national organization serving more than a quarter–million high school and college students and professional members who are enrolled in training programs in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health care. Vol 24 No. 33 August 14, 2006
